This 5 oz. Silver High Relief 2022 Proof Kookaburra comes to us from the famed Perth Mint, the mint mark of which it bears on the left side of the reverse. This coin, which was struck from 999.9 fine silver, has a limited mintage of just 500, giving this piece a strong scarcity appeal.

The Australian head of state, Queen Elizabeth II, is shown in right-side portrait on the obverse of this coin. Ian Rank-Broadley's 1998 design shows her wearing a tiara as her hair covers her ear. Rim inscriptions include her name, "ELIZABETH II," "AUSTRALIA," and the coin's face value, "8 DOLLARS."
