The 3 US Dollars Gold Coin (1854–1889) is one of the rarest, most unique, and highly valued US historical coins among numismatists.

Unique Denomination: The 3-dollar denomination coin was minted for a very short period in US minting history. It is believed that this denomination was created to facilitate buying sheet stamps (which cost 3 cents at the time) in bulk, as well as to streamline transactions with 100-count 3-cent coins.
Distinctive Design: The obverse depicts the personification of Liberty wearing a traditional Native American feathered headdress. The reverse features a rich agricultural wreath composed of four major US crops of that era: tobacco, wheat, corn, and cotton.
Rarity and Value: This coin was struck in very low mintages as it was not widely popular in general circulation, making surviving high-grade specimens extremely rare today. It serves not only as a precious metal investment (Au 900), but also as a top-tier historical and numismatic treasure for any collection.

Obverse: Head of Liberty wearing a Native American feathered headdress, facing left. Inscriptions: UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, LIBERTY. Engraver: James Barton Longacre.

Reverse: Denomination and date within a wreath of tobacco, wheat, corn, and cotton. Inscriptions: 3 DOLLARS, 1854. Engraver: James Barton Longacre.
