On the reverse of the coin – a stylised Dinas Zauras, also a lorry carrying it. The symbols on the reverse, including the composition of figures floating in the air, are arranged so as to convey an illusion – moving in a circle. The reduced fragment of Vilnius University from the bird’s eye view prompts the destination of the Physicists’ March – Faculty of Philology, where they are awaited by female philologists. The composition is surrounded by the inscriptions ‘VILNIAUS UNIVERSITETAS’, ‘FIDI 50’.
On the obverse of the coin – a stylised dinosaur, the main symbol of the jolly festival of academic youth – the 50th Physicists Day of Vilnius University. Vytis, the figure of the state coat of arms, is incorporated alongside it. The coin also has the inscriptions ‘LIETUVA’, 2018, denomination – €1.50, and the logo of the coin’s producer, UAB Lithuanian Mint.
