The so-called "big five" includes: elephant, lion, buffalo, rhino and leopard. All of these charming animals are a symbol of African wildlife.
The obverse of the coin shows two lions and inscriptions in close-up: "FIVE RAND" at face value, "Ag 999" at silver fineness and "1 Oz" at weight.
