The novelty of the Perth Mint is the fifth limited edition coin of the unique design "Silver Swan". The first silver swan coin was minted in 2017 at the Perth Mint in Western Australia. The huge success of the new products has led the company to release a gold version, also in a strictly limited edition. The Australian Swan is currently a full-fledged coin series that has become popular enough to be included in its investment portfolio. After the Australian Red Kangaroo (Nugget Kangaroo) and Kookaburra, it is time to pay due attention to such a noble bird as the swan, which has lived along the Swan River for centuries, where the Perth Mint was established in 1899.
The obverse depicts the sixth crowned portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, created by Jody Clarke (JC), wearing a George IV State Diadem and Victorian coronation necklace. The portrait is surrounded by a legend - “• ELIZABETH II 2021 AUSTRALIA • 1 DOLERY”.
The reverse depicts a swan floating gracefully on the surface of the water. The inscription "THE 1 OZ 9999 AUSTRALIAN" appears at the top and "SILVER SWAN" at the bottom. The design includes the Perth Mint’s distinctive “P5” mark, which means that this coin commemorates the fifth anniversary of the Australian Swan series.
