The obverse features a naked bust of George Washington, turned to the right. bust - artist's name, Duvivier Paris F. At the bottom of the coin is the inscription "COMITIA AMERICANA", which means "Congress of America" in Latin. Congress to George Washington, Commander-in-Chief of the Army, Defender of Freedom.
On the other side, we see Washington in the Dorchester Highlands leading four of its officers on horseback toward the city of Boston.
