This ten euro sterling silver coin commemorating the work of Miina Harma.

On 09 February 2014, the 150th anniversary of Miina Harma’s birth was reached. The Estonian composer, choir leader and organist wrote over 200 songs, most of them for choirs, making her a major contributor to the repertoire of Estonian song festivals.

The coin has a clever design, being elegantly laid out and not fussy-looking.

Minted at the Royal Dutch Mint (Koninklijke Nederlandse Munt).

The reverse depicts pure tonal vibration resonating from a tuning fork as a symbol of the music teacher, conductor and composer, the words “Miina Härma 150” , and the nominal value of the coin of ten euros.

The obverse bears the coat of arms of the Republic of Estonia and the year 2014.
